If people going to leave your guild, they're going to do it sooner or later. Rather than blaming GW, think about why people don't want to stay.

I agree, that's a nice way to part ways. Just to chime in I like the new update, it does help to see who left. I have nothing to hide, if people aren't happy in my guild they can leave whenever. I'm just lucky to have such a wonderful core of people that I know won't leave unless I turn into a major jerk... which shouldn't happen.

this is good so youll see worthless people who are always coming, going and coming back again (and then leaving again).

It really is a much-requested addition, and as a guild leader, I know it's helpful to those of us who like to keep track of our folks. It's sad to see someone leave, and to see a message to that effect. But I do believe it's even worse to not know their status at all, not want to appear pushy in asking, or to assume they're still part of the guild when in fact they've moved elsewhere.

If people leave your guild when they see that someone else left,
you really don't have much of a guild.
I'm a bit of a loner, but I'll try a guild if someone asks me and they
seem to be interesting. Sadly, 9 out of 10 guilds I've been in have
zero interaction after the initial welcome. Other than people begging
for runs or free equipment, they never have any kind of interaction at
all. I have no problem with leaving that type of guild without a word
of explanation.
I have had a couple guild leaders pm me and ask why I left. While I
was impressed that they even noticed, the only reason I'd stay in
one would be because I can play the game with people I know what
to expect from. Some guild leaders seem to collect members like
cord wood, that's not for me.
Anyway... I like this feature too, it's the first thing I look at now when
I join a guild. If the invite to leave ratio is close to 1:1, I'll just pm the
person that invited me, give him back his 100gp and be on my way.
